My classes are perfect for beginners, intermediates and professional artists alike. Creating a very supportive environment, I take you through a painting step-by-step. I have a unique method of teaching color theory and how to build a painting in a fun and effective way. I also do painting demonstrations throughout the process for the group and each individual, explaining visually how to solve problems or create different effects. Class size is small to give lots of individual attention.

EARLY SPRING WORKSHOPS

This spring I am offering 5 week workshops which meet for 2.5 hrs each week. You can sign up for the morning or evening classes.

AMAZING GLAZE!

Make your paintings POP within seconds!

A glaze is a thin, transparent layer painted over a dry surface. There are many reasons to use a glaze. You’ll be thrilled how you can make a mountain range look farther away, bring in the glow of a sun radiating from a light spot, create more drama by changing the values (lights and darks), or create unity throughout the whole painting. All of this can be done quickly and easily to any painting at any point during the painting process.

This class is for all levels and is a step-by-step presentation. We will be using acrylic paint. No experience is needed, but if you are an intermediate or advanced painter this will help further your skills. If you are a continuing student, (have taken at least 3 workshops with me), you are welcome to bring in your own project to work on more independently in class. Please let me know in advance if you will be doing this.
