My classes are perfect for beginners, intermediates and professional artists alike. Creating a very supportive environment, I take you through a painting step-by-step. I have a unique method of teaching color theory and how to build a painting in a fun and effective way. I also do painting demonstrations throughout the process for the group and each individual, explaining visually how to solve problems or create different effects. Class size is small to give lots of individual attention.

This winter I am offering 5 week workshops which meet for 2.5 hrs each week. You can sign up for the morning or evening classes.

USING TEXTURE!

Creates Beautiful Contemporary Landscapes

Wax is a great way to enhance texture. It has been used as a painting medium since the Renaissance. This is typically used with oil paints. A newly developed cold wax medium for acrylics is now on the market. It allows you to build texture quickly and slows the drying time to give you more flexibility for blending and working into the thick paint.

This class is for all levels and is a step-by-step presentation. No experience is needed, but if you are intermediate or advanced this will help further your skills. If you are a continuing student, (have taken at least 3 workshops with me), you are welcome to bring in your own project to work on more independently in class. Please let me know in advance if you will be doing this.

This is a step-by-step class, in which you will follow along with the teacher and come home with a finished painting. Participants will build their painting skills in a supportive and fun environment, giving them a foundation to continue on their artistic journey.
